Overview
Tryon Enterprises, LLC Private Equity strategy, with our investors, is to
acquire a controlling or substantial minority
position in a company and then look to maximize the value of that
investment. We are a private equity and buyout
firm based in North Liberty, Iowa. We are engaged in the acquisition of
controlling interests in historically uncapitalized
or distressed businesses, needing leadership assistance and investment to
reach their full potential. We use our expertise in acquisitions and
financing in partnership with management to grow the businesses in which
we invest, both organically and through add-on acquisitions.
The principals of Tryon Enterprises, LLC are widely regarded as
accomplished, experienced professionals with diverse backgrounds,
successful investment track records and solid business networks. We have
extensive contacts and relationships to identify acquisition
opportunities, and the experience and skills to analyze their performance,
assess the strength of the employment team, obtain the necessary financing
and consummate transactions.
By drawing on our own experiences, we are able to complement an employment
team's capabilities and advise our portfolio companies in the areas of
strategic planning, business management, financial management, investment
banking and strategic merger and acquisition opportunities.
We strive to be the employment team's partner, taking the lead in
structuring and capitalizing investment transactions
and providing financing for growth. Where necessary, we are prepared to
provide management and operations of the

Investment Policy
Our investment objective is to build long-term value and generate superior
capital returns based on the performance of our portfolio companies, while
minimizing risks for our investors. We value quality over quantity, and
therefore will continue to invest in a limited number of companies with
exceptional potential. We seek to invest in companies which we believe
have the potential to achieve significant capital appreciation. We are
patient, growth-oriented investors, and our strategy includes enhancing
value through fundamental development, not the breakup of the companies in
which we invest.
Investment Criteria
Tryon Enterprises, LLC seeks investment candidates, privately held, in a
wide range of industry categories.
The following is a general description of the Firm's criteria:
- Small, Local and Niche companies (1-3 locations of operation);
- An existing strong management team with a demonstrated ability to
operate the company;
- Established revenues of at least $1 million, with potential for internal
growth and/or growth through acquisition or consolidation. Strategic
add-on investments for our existing portfolio companies can be smaller;
- Historically profitable businesses with stable and predictable cash flow
and earnings before interest,
taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of at least $250,000; and
- Companies whose operations are predominately in the midwestern states of
Iowa and Illinois.
- We make equity investments between $250,000 - $5 Million.
